HOFER, Hans.

(1843 – 1924)

(Born: Elbogen, Bohemia, Germany, 17 May 1843; Died: 1924) Austrian mineralogist & mine engineer.

From 1860 to '64, Höfer studied at the mining academy of Leoben. In 1879, he was named professor of mining at the mining academy in Přibram, Czechoslovakia. In 1882, he was appointed professor of mineralogy, geology and economic geology at the mining academy in Leoben.
