Rare. First printed catalogue of the library of the famous Bergakademie in Freiberg, Germany. This volume lists 17,836 books by author, with title, place and date of publication. Although three supplements were published, the projected subject classification that would be a companion to this original volume was never published.

This Bergakademie's library is one of the greatest mineralogical and geological collections yet assembled. Founded in 1766 with the Bergakademie it had 1875 volumes by 1819 when it was fortunate to acquire the 3306 works that composed the personal library of its most famous teacher, Abraham Gottlob Werner. The library continued to be enlarged through donations and purchases and still exists in Freiberg, Germany. Three supplements were published between 1893 and 1928. These are listed below.
