DALBERG, Karl T.A.M.

(1744 – 1817)

(Born: Hernsheim near Worms, Germany, 8 February 1744; Died: Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, 10 February 1817) German theologian.

Dahlberg was bishop of Regensburg, archbishop and Elector of Mainz. He was also a councilor to the ruling family.

Rare. This work is on steatite (or soapstone). Since it can easily be cut, steatite has always been a favorite material with the carver and gem cutter. This paper was read before the Academy of Sciences at Erfurt on 2 October, 1799.
