Foote, Warren M. (1872-1936 )

Warren Mathews Foote was born in Philadelphia on December 27, 1872, the son of Augusta Mathews and mineral dealer Albert E. Foote. Warren married Melanie Florence W. Grugan in 1896, the year after his father's death, and they had two daughters together: Eleanor Justice Foote (born 18 November 1902) and Florence Melanie Foote (born 23 November 1906).

Warren Mathews Foote died of pneumonia at his home in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1936. He was 63 years old. At the time of his death, he was president of the Foote Mineral Company founded by his father in 1876 and was editor of Foote-Prints, a scientific mineralogical magazine located in Pennsylvania.
