Armbster, Carl Friedrich Wilhelm (1830- )

Mineral dealer in Goslar, Germany in the 1890's, specializing in worldwide mineral specimens in all price ranges, and also rocks, fossils and shells. He was born January 28, 1830, in Vlotho (about 110 km from Goslar), the son of Christian Wilhelm Armbster and Henriette Justine Rauschenbusch. In 1862 he married Luis Emlie Nanni Bauer in Vlotho, and a year later they had a son who was baptized there. He sold his historic his house in Vlotho to the Finkhäuser family in 1892 and presumably moved to Goslar at that time.
