Zückert had a medical practice in Berlin and was the author of many books on medicine, balneology, and geology. He was a member of the Leopldian Akademie in Berlin.

Very scarce. Describes the mineral resources of the Harz mountains of Germany. It comprehensively describes the natural history of the region, emphasising the geology and mineral riches. The book has considerable interest for the descriptions of the iron- and copper-mines, the marble quarries, and the mineralogy of the region.
