YOUNG, George Albert.

(1878 – 1947)

(Born: 1878; Died: 1947) Canadian geologist & mineralogist.

Young was an economic and structural geologist. He worked in the Geological Survey of Canada from 1904, rising to the position of Chief Geologist in 1924. He did notable work in the minerals and geology of the Precambrian Shield.
