SIEMSSEN, Adolf Christian.

(1768 – 1833)

(Born: Altstrelitz, Germany, 2 May 1768; Died: Rostock, Germany, 17 June 1833) German naturalist.

Siemssen studied theology and natural sciences in Bützow and Göttingen. He became a private docent at the university and an instructor at the large city school in Rostock. He was especially interested in the botany and animals of his native land.
