Very scarce. Translation by Étienne François Geoffroy of Metallische Probier-Kunst (Dresden, 1697). Over the course of a two year period Geoffroy verified all the tests. However, at his death the manuscript was left unpublished. It was examined by the Royal Academy and published. This rendering in French appears to be much more common than the German original.
