Very scarce. Hughes, who was Rector of St. Lucy's Parish, lived much of his life in Barbados. He had as his hobby, studying the natural history of this island. The accumulated observations of his life are contained in this beautifully illustrated and much praised work. Among his observations are descriptions of the islands geology and mineralogy.
