(Born: 1845; Died: 1928) German mineralogist.

Hirschwald was professsor of mineralogy and crystallography at the Technical Highschool of Berlin. His work in the area of petrology and rock examination brought his exhibit at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis the award of `Grand Prix.'
