Scarce. In 1912, William E. Ford [1878-1939] completely revised and rewrote the text. This text was then reissued as the 13th edition until 1928, when Ford revised the text for a 14th edition. In 1938, Cornelius S. Hurlbut [1906- ] again revised the text, and it was issued as the "Fifteenth Edition" in 1941.

Scarce. All new minerals described between January 1, 1909 to January 1, 1915 are included. Of these about sixty are new species. The most important developement during this period was the use of X-rays as a means to study the molecular structure of crystals.
