BRUNLECHNER, August.

(1849 – 1916)

(Born: Leoben, Austria, 30 May 1849; Died: Klagenfurt, Austria, 24 April 1916) Austrian mining engineer & mineral collector.

Brunlechner attended the Mining Academy in Chemnitz, Hungary, and the Mining Academy in Leoben, where in 1872 he became an assistant professor of mining and manufacture. He worked at the mercury mines of Indria, before being appointed to the Mining School in Klagenfurt in 1879. In 1899 he also took on the role of custodian to the school's museum.
