Steve Hardinger
(1959-    )

Dr. Steven Alan Hardinger of Beaumont, California is an organic chemist and University Distinguished senior lecturer in chemistry at UCLA. He first became interested in minerals as an Explorer scout in 1976, on a field trip to collect uranium minerals at Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania. He received his PhD in organic chemistry from Purdue University in 1988, and founded Dragon Minerals in 2003. The business became a full-time pursuit after retirement from UCLA in 2018. He created in 2003, and sold it in November, 2005.
