Albert P. Gerling
(1884-1976)
Albert Philip Gerling was born in Rochester, New York on March 16, 1884, the son of Elisabeth and George Gerling, a German-immigrant and salesman. By the age of 16 he was already working in a printing shop, and within 10 years had become the owner of his own printing business, producing art prints. He married (Christine) around 1914 and they had at least one daughter. He died in Rochester on April 22, 1976.
