Automatic Renewal: how to set up an account

Never worry about missing any issues!

We now have automatic renewal for subscriptions!

Join automatic renewal by setting up an on-line account!

Advantages to setting up an on-line account include: having access to orders, you can change your address, you can add or change a stored payment method, access your digital downloads, change your password AND be able to have your subscription renewed automatically!

Important! Creating an on-line website account is not the same as already having a subscription [account]. You will not be able to view your current subscription status, nor is any past subscription history is viewable here.  You will be able to create viewable subscription history going forward only by signing up for Automatic Renewal.   When you click the button for “Automatic Renewal”and proceed with your purchase, an account will be created for you, or if you already have an on-line account, you will be prompted to log in on the checkout screen [if you haven’t logged in already].

GOOD NEWS!  You can NOW use PayPal OR a credit card for Automatic Renewal!

Here’s what to do in three easy steps:

1)  Go to: https://mineralogicalrecord.com/my-account/ or go to our Contents (Home) Page at www.mineralogicalrecord.com and click on “Login” on the top, bright blue, navigation bar.

2)  Then, in the right-hand box under “Register” type in your email address. Then click on the dark purple “Register” button below and a password will be sent to your email address.

3)  Next, go to your email inbox, look for an email from the Mineralogical Record, copy the password, then go back to https://mineralogicalrecord.com/my-account/ (it’s also always located on the bright blue top navigation bar).  Then on the “Login” screen on the left-hand side of that screen under “Login” type in your email address, then paste that password in the box for “Password” and click the dark purple “Login” button and you’re in!  (Later on, you can change that awkward, encrypted password if you wish, under “Account details” in the list on the left-hand side of the screen)

Accounts will also automatically be created if you order a Digital Subscription.  Download links for PDFs show up immediately for download, or if your prefer, you can download them later.  Log in to your account and you will find these products available for download under “My Digital Subscription Downloads” on the left-hand side of your account page.

Paying for your Automatic Renewal with PayPal

PayPal has some different rules for “Automatic Renewal”/Recurring Subscription accounts.  CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE

Subscription Price Changes and “Opting Out”

If you ever change your mind about Automatic Renewal, you can “opt-out” anytime by simply logging in to your account and “turning off” the Automatic Renewal button- you will still get a reminder when it’s time to renew!

If you’re signed up for Automatic Renewal and there is a subscription price increase, you will be informed

of this increase approximately 30 days before your payment is processed.  Multiple reminders will be sent

up to 3 days before your renewal is due.  If you do not want to renew at the new price, you can log

into your account, go to “Subscriptions” on the left side of your dashboard screen, click “View” and turn

off your Automatic Renewal button.  You will then receive your renewal reminders via email and/or

USPS mail.

And it’s OK if you do not want an on-line website account.  When renewing, just click the “One-Time Purchase” option button and we will continue to send your renewal notices via email and USPS.
