Leah Luten
(1994-    )

Leah Luten was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1994, the daughter of Micky Luten and Douglas Daniel Jenkins. She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and began collecting minerals and creating art as soon as she could pick up rocks and hold pencils, but only started collecting seriously in 2016, right around the same time that she decided to really buckle down and teach herself to paint minerals.

Since then, she has been posting her work to Instagram, and has met many members of the mineral community through the site. She is a new member of the Mineralogical Association of Dallas and currently does commissions for collectors all over the US. Painting is currently just a hobby for her; she works a day job at a mortgage company in downtown Fort Worth, and when she has free time she enjoys taking camping trips.

Leah Luten can be contacted via her website, LeahLuten.com. She offers original watercolor mineral paintings for sale, as well as T-shirts, pillows, glasses and other merchandise emblazoned with her mineral art.
